A competition winning scheme for Purcell: a series of ink sketches.
These drawings were produced in the architect's office as the design developed over a period of about eight days and were the subject of continuous development. There were twelve or more in total and those that didn't make it onto the presentation boards became part of a design sketchbook.
The drawings were very large, around A1 or A0, and some of the final versions were made up of pieces stuck together.
A great scheme to work on from my point of view: as the work had to be done quickly, there was no question of setting anything up in cad or otherwise and they are purely instinctive drawings.
